Hip Pain & Bursitis: A Healing Reflection Worksheet

Explore hip pain as a central point of balance and emotional storage related to movement and change.

Hip pain—especially from bursitis—often comes from inflammation in the small fluid-filled sacs (bursae) that cushion your joints. It can feel sharp, aching, or deep in the outer hip. But hip pain isn’t just physical. The hips are a central point of balance, mobility, and emotional storage—especially related to movement, change, and feeling stuck. When hip pain arises, it may be your body asking: Where am I holding resistance? What emotions have I stored instead of expressing? What change am I afraid to step into? This worksheet invites you to explore your pain with compassion, curiosity, and care.

Step 1: Connect to the Hip Space

Sit or lie down in a relaxed position. Breathe deeply and gently place your hand near the hip that’s in pain. Ask yourself: What feels stuck in my life right now? Where am I resisting movement or change? Am I holding anger, grief, or fear in this space?

  • Write what comes up:
