Autoimmune Disease: A Healing Reflection Worksheet

An invitation to explore where your body may be calling for safety, rest, and unconditional self-compassion.

In autoimmune conditions, the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues. While the physical causes vary, these conditions often reflect a deeper energetic or emotional pattern of inner conflict, chronic self-pressure, or unhealed wounding. Energetically, autoimmune illness can arise when the body has been in prolonged states of defense—hypervigilance, overgiving, perfectionism, or self-neglect. It is the body’s way of asking: Whose side am I on?

For Specific Conditions

While the heart of autoimmune healing often touches similar emotional roots, different diagnoses may highlight unique themes: Hashimoto’s (Thyroid): Speaking up, voicing needs, suppressing truth Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA): Internalized frustration, anger turned inward, self-blame Celiac’s Disease: Deep sensitivity to boundaries, difficulty integrating or digesting emotional pain Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS): Over-flexibility—physically and often emotionally—struggling with containment, boundaries, and inner holding Use this worksheet with awareness of these resonances—but let your own truth lead.
